Yoga Teacher Training

The International Yoga Academy's (IYA) Onsite and Online Yoga Teacher Training Certificate courses enable yoga practitioners, yoga enthusiasts and aspiring instructors the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of yoga philosophy and to improve on various aspects of their yoga practice.  The training is open to all levels, from those who are new to yoga to those who have been on their yoga journey for a number of years. 

The course will take each participant to the origin of yoga, its history and philosophy. Students will learn the methodology of precise anatomical alignments and instructions as well as the profound understanding and application of various disciplines of yoga in their daily lives.

The Teacher Training Courses are conducted in collaboration with The Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre (AACRC), India.  IYA is accredited by various organizations including Vedic Wellness University, Florida, USA, Indian Yoga Federation, New Delhi, India and the Yoga Alliance USA. 

The IYA faculty teachers are highly qualified and experienced in the field of yoga teaching and research.  Most of the lead teachers hold a PhD, Master of Philosophy and/or Master Degrees in Yogic Science.  Some faculties include experienced and qualified Ayurvedic doctors and Physiotherapists.

All courses run by the International Yoga Academy meet the highest standards in yoga training and teaching.  IYA pioneered yoga courses in modular format which enable students to complete these courses as per their schedule and need.  All our online courses are live stream, interactive and are not pre-recorded.  This is to ensure students have the opportunity to interact with the teachers and to learn each subject thoroughly.
