The highly anticipated annual teacher training course will be a full-time residential yoga course coupled with a heritage tour in the study of Thirumoolar's Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda, Natural Therapy and Yogic Diet.
This Teacher training programme offers a unique learning experience with one of India’s foremost family lineages in Andiappan Yoga.

Yogananth Andiappan will be teaching only from 1st - 9th March 2021.
From 1st - 9th March 2021, most of the practical and theory classes as well as the heritage tour will be lead by Master Yogananth Andiappan, along with the team of Andiappan Yoga Teachers.
The classes for the additional hours which will total 200 hours and 300 hours will be conducted by the faculties of the Andiappan Yoga School.

This tour and retreat is organised by the International Yoga Academy which is a registered school with the Yoga Alliance as well as the Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre, Chennai, India (www.andiappanyoga.com).
Yoga Alliance is an international governing board for yoga teachers and training courses around the globe. We offer assistance to students interested in applying for a Yoga Alliance Registration after completing a teacher training course.

Q: I am prepared to come to India for the course. How is airport pickup arranged?
A: Send us your flight itinerary. We will have an officer / driver waiting at the airport holding a sign with the college logo and your name. You will find the officer at the arrival hall after custom clearance.
Before your flight, please make sure that you have applied for an Indian Visa. All passports need a tourist visa to enter India. You can get a regular e-tourist visa to study this course.

Q: Is your school accredited by Yoga Alliance USA? Can I apply for a Yoga Alliance Registration upon completion of my course?
A: All our teacher training programs are registered with Yoga Alliance USA, and yes, students may apply for registration upon completion of the 200 hours course. However, successful course completion requires submitting an assignment, which is scheduled at the end of every training period. Students who qualify are then granted a Course Graduation Certificate, which is registered with Yoga Alliance USA (RYS 200, 300 & 500 and ERYT 500, RPYS and RCYS), as well as Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre and the International Yoga Academy. Only then, upon receipt of the Certificate, can students register with Yoga Alliance and assistance can be provided.

I am visiting India for the first time. Is it safe for me to attend this training and tour?
Learning yoga in India is definitely interesting and fascinating. Andiappan Yoga India has been running these residential yoga courses in India for over thirty years and are very experienced in teaching and accommodating foreign students. Every month, there are numerous students from around the world attending the residential yoga courses. The college strive its best to provide the students with an authentic learning experience. Food safety, travel and accommodation are taken into consideration and participants will not need to worry. A private coach with driver has been arranged. There will be assistants and yoga masters travelling with the group throughout the trip who will be happy to assist.

What Certification will I get If I choose 100hrs and what is the option for 200 and 300hrs Course?
If you just join the tour and the 100hrs training you will receive a certification Intensive Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Certificate Course.
If you would like to opt for the RYT 200 hours Certification, you can continue to study with the Andiappan Yoga School in the Anna Nagar location and to stay for an additional 9 days from 10th - 18th March 2021 to complete the 200 hours Intensive Yoga Therapy or 200 hours Intensive Hatha Yoga (Intermediate to Advance Level) Teacher Training Course. You can choose to study either one of this course and receive the certification.
If you would like to opt for the 300 hours Certification, they can continue to study with Andiappan Yoga School in Anna Nagar Location and stay for additional 17 days from 10th - 26th March 2021 to complete the 300 hours Intensive Yoga Therapy or 300 hours Intensive Hatha Yoga (Intermediate to Advance Level) Teacher Training Course. You can choose to study either one of this course and receive the certification.

2. If you cannot come to the tour, you can refer another friend to join on your behalf, but the name should be confirmed one month before the retreat date.
3. We highly recommned you take a comprehensive travel insurance.
4. In case of dispute, management will make the final decision.
5. No refund under any circumstances.
6. If the tour date is changed for unexpected circumstances your registration will be changed to that date. If you cannot make it to the tour and training 70% of the amount paid can be used to buy group membership package /YTT at Anahata Yoga.
